Retirement Visa

Rami Formality Services is now authorized to process retirement visas previously handled by a few selected travel agencies.

For more than 10 years now, Rami Services has been appointed by the Tourism Department and the Directorate General of Immigration to sponsor and process retirement visas in warm and sunny Indonesia.

Effective 31 August 2006, there are changes in the Ministry of Justice Law # M.04-IZ.01.02 year 1998 that foreigners from the following countries may apply for an Indonesian retirement visa are:

South Africa, USA, Argentina, Australia, Austria, Bahrain, Belgium, Holland, Brazilian, Brunei Darussalam,Bulgaria, Cyprus, Denmark, United Arab Emirates, Estonia, Finland, Hungary, India, UK, Ireland, Iran, Iceland, Italy, Japan, Germany, Canada, South Korea, Kuwait, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Maldives, Malaysia, Malta, Egypt, Monaco, Norway, Oman, France, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Qatar, Russia, Saudi Arabia, New Zealand, Singapore, Spain, Suriname, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand and Greece.

Evidently, retirees will not be allowed to conduct any type of business while holding a retirement visa. In order to do business, the retiree must ask for a suspension and apply for a different type of visa and whatever permits necessary to change his residency status.

The retirement visas requirements are:

​

• Must be at least 60 years old

• Color scan passport minimum validity 6 months and 3 blank pages

• Color scan bank statement proving income or allowance with a value of US$3,000 per month or Pension Statement minimum 3.000,-USD per month or 36.000,-USD per year

• Color scan Saving Account Statement for last 3 (three) months (including name, date of period, and balance account).

• Recent photograph with white background color

• Original Passport

• Color scan Curiculum Vitae (CV)

• Color scan Health Insurance

• Color scan Life Insurance

• Color scan 3rd Liability Insurance

• Original signed Statement letters for Accommodation, Pramuwisma WNI (local maid) & Will Not Work in Indonesia (We will provide the draft letter)

• House or apartment rental agreement letter & Owner's KTP (id card) - (required after arriving in Indonesia with a retirement visa)

• Original Domicile letter from Apartment / Hotel or from RT-RW if live in a housing area (required after arriving in Indonesia with a retirement visa)

• Color scan Indonesian ID Card (e-KTP) of maid/driver -  (You have to provide 2 ( Two ) KTP of your maid or driver)

A retirement Visa can be extended five times without having to leave the country. Each extension is valid for one year.

A retirement Visa holder will receive complete permits in a well organized folder comprising the following documents - valid for 1 year:

• A retirement E-ITAS & MERP

• SKTT / Green card

• STM/Resort police report
