New Born Babies

For foreigner´s  parents whose new born baby in Indonesia, within 14 days from the day of new born baby, the birth certificate should be reported and registered at the local immigration.

After the birth certificate is registered by the local immigration, a foreign passport should be applied at the foreign embassy. Within 60 days from the baby born, the Indonesian temporary resident card should be applied at the local immigration. The lateness to report and or to apply temporary resident card for the foreign new born baby, the immigration department will count it as overstay for Rp. 300.000,-/day (three hundred thousand rupiahs/day).

The foreign father whose Indonesian temporary resident card (KITAS) or permanent resident card (KITAP) can sponsor the baby to get a temporary resident card (KITAS).

Following KITAS card and Foreign registration, the other permits should be applied are:

• STM/ Resort Police report

• SKTT Card (Surat Keterangan Tempat Tinggal/Certificate of Temporary Residence)
